Gordon MP Richard Thomson has welcomed the latest investment in health services in the North-east which sees a new 4D scanner based in Aberdeen which will predominantly benefit cardiac patients.
Commenting on the announcement by NHS Grampian, Richard Thomson said:
“This new scanner - which improves the patient experience as well as providing more information for health professionals in a shorter timeframe, thereby allowing more people to be seen – represents the latest significant investment in health services in the North-east.
“It is the first of its kind in Scotland, is one of only a few in use in the UK, and is at the very forefront of cardiac and cancer services. I look forward to further investment and improvements to health services in the North-east going forward.”
