Gordon MP Highlights Support Available from Family Fund
Gordon SNP MP Richard Thomson has highlighted the support available to families raising a disabled or seriously ill child or young person under 18 from the Family Fund.
Family Fund - a charitable organisation - is calling for more families in Scotland to apply for a grant before February 2022.
The charity has recently received extra funding from the Scottish Government, which means additional funds are now available for essential items such as clothing, computer equipment, family breaks, domestic appliances or sensory toys and play equipment.
Commenting, Richard Thomson MP said:
“Winter can be a particularly difficult time for families raising a disabled or seriously ill child, and many families in this situation will be looking for extra help over the coming weeks.
“The Family Fund can provide grants for essential items such as clothing, computer equipment, domestic appliances, sensory toys, even family breaks, and have provided grant support to more than 5,000 families already in the past twelve months.”
