Top Tips for Safe Pets this Christmas

  Gordon MP Richard Thomson has teamed up with ‘Pets at Home’ this Christmas in support of their campaign to help inform constituents how they can keep their pets happy and healthy over the festive period.  

  Whilst Christmas can be a magical time to spend with our family and pets, it is important to be mindful about the impact that festivities can have on our pets.  

  That is why Pets at Home have shared some top tips to help us all keep our pets happy and healthy this holiday season.  

   

Commenting, Richard Thomson MP said:  

“It’s now second nature to most of us to ensure the safety of our pets during firework season, but Christmas can also have some hidden dangers for companion animals.  

“Simple steps like keeping chocolate, macadamia nuts and raisins out of the reach of pets, and checking any festive leftovers being given as a treat for any small bones can help keep our pets safe and healthy.  

“Pets at Home have produced a quick ‘Ask the Vet’ section on their website as well as some Top Tips [see attached infographic] to assist pet owners have a stress-free Christmas.”
