Gordon MP Richard Thomson, who attended Saturday’s Huntly Hairst, has commended the organisers on a successful event.
The Huntly Hairst is an annual event, first held in 2002, to celebrate the food and traditions of Aberdeenshire. Attractions included a Farmers Market, cookery demonstrations and the “World Stovies Championship”.
Commenting, Richard Thomson MP said:
“This was a truly fantastic local event which not only showcased North-east food and produce but provided a great attraction to bring people into Huntly.
“My congratulations to the organisers, who I am sure will be looking to build on their success for next year’s Hairst.”
