Local MP Supports Huntly's 'Fiver Fest' Event

Published date : 15 March, 2022

Local MP Richard Thomson dropped by to support Experience Huntly and Huntly Business Association’s ‘Fiver Fest’ at the weekend.

This is the third time Huntly has taken part in ‘Fiver Fest’, a national initiative, which involves local shops and businesses joining together to bring customers special offers for £5 to highlight the contribution to the Huntly economy they bring.  Businesses in Huntly are signed up and ready to take part with a range of offers available which runs until 26 March.

Commenting after his visit to Huntly on Saturday, Richard Thomson MP said:

“I was delighted to spend Saturday in Huntly at the town’s ‘Fiver Fest’, which encourages people to shop local and get a bargain at the same time.

“Some 23 local businesses are taking part. I can confirm that bargains were indeed had, as were some fantastic ice creams from Rizza’s!

“This is an excellent initiative and underlines the importance of our small towns having vibrant and innovative groups like Huntly Business Association and Experience Huntly, to name just two, which can provide the co-ordination for events such as these which help our independent town centre retailers.”
