Gordon MP Comments on Stewart Milne Group Administration

Commenting on the news that administrators have been appointed to the Stewart Milne Group, Gordon MP Richard Thomson said:  

“This is devastating news for the workforce and those contractors working for the Stewart Milne Group.  

“The company has a proud history in the North-east but it seems that a combination of rising interest rates, cost increases and lack of consumer confidence in the property sector have pushed the business into its present difficulties.  

“Together with my MP and MSP colleagues representing Aberdeen, we have written to Cabinet Secretary Neil Gray MSP seeking Scottish Government support to secure the future of the business and the deployment of a PACE (Partnership Action for Continuing Employment) team to assist those workers being made redundant.”
